All of our coaches have gone through rigorous training and are accredited by the Scottish Gymnastics Assocation.  Scottish Gymnastics accept that the welfare and safety of children, young people and protected adults is the responsibility of everyone in the sport, whether paid staff or volunteer.   As an organisation Scottish Gymnastics will endeavor to promote the highest standards of care for all.  We are committed to not only developing policies and procedures but to providing information, education and training opportunities to ensure those working with these groups adopt best practice and that at all times no child, young person, protected adult is placed at risk of harm whilst participating in gymnastics activities.

Kirsty was a  Gymnast at Cumbernauld Gymnastics Club for 9 years and then coached at Cumbernauld Gymnastics Club for over 10 years.  She has been with us at Balfron Gymnastics Club as Head coach for 3 years.  Kirsty also owns and runs Kilsyth Gymnastics Club

She competed for Scotland in the British grades finals for 3 years running as well as competing in international competitions for her club.

She also competed in the Scottish Championships which her team won consecutively

Chloe has been coaching with us for 5  years although she was a competitive gymnast for 10 years before that and has lots of experience that we are very happy to be benefiting from.   


 UKCC Level 1 General Gymnastics Qualified Coach

Georgia has participated in gymnastics since the age of four years old and has taken part in multiple competitions all over the U.K. She used to be a part of the Team GB Squad in England, and had the privilege of training with Beth Tweddle a few times. She moved to Scotland in 2011 and later competed in the Scottish championships winning 2nd place with her team. She has a great knowledge of gymnastics and would like to pass it on to others.  Georgia is proving to be a great asset to the team.


Level 1 British Gymnastics Qualified Coach

Ellie was another new coach who joined us last year and recently gained her level one coaching qualification.  Ellie has a great way with the younger gymnasts and is looking to work her way up the coaching ladder with Balfron Gymnastics Club.
